Please visit The River District's website for Holiday Fun Events in December. One of my favorite River District events this year is the 2014 Holiday Stroll and Tree Lighting Ceremony taking place tomorrow, Saturday, November 29th; The Mayor will start in Centennial Park then head over to Monroe St. and First St. at 6:00 p.m. to ride the Horse Drawn Carriage down First St. to Jackson St. turning left on Jackson St. and stopping for the Mayor to light the wreath at the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center. The carriage will proceed to Bay St., and head West back... to Hendry St. The carriage will turn onto Hendry St. and stop to allow the Mayor to light the Christmas tree on Hendry St. The carriage will then loop around Hendry St. to Bay St. and then continue west to Centennial Park to drop off the Mayor. Please watch for road closures and detour signs to lead you around road closure and get there early for parking.
Also, remember that Art Walk is held the 1st Friday of every month. Next Art Walk will be held December 5th starting @6pm. Music Walk is held 3rd Friday of every month; next Music Walk will be on December 19th starting @7pm.
